On Sunday 6th March the seventeenth Eastbourne Half Marathon took place in dry but chilly and windy conditions.
And so the evening entertainment began at the Covid delayed Rotary Club Charity Burns Night at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club on 19th February.
Last December, the annual Tree of Light raised £1,800 in aid of the Club’s major project this year. President Brian O’Neil made sure the Club was well represented.
The Rotary Club of Eastbourne Golf Tournament was at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club in late September. 20 players took part in a challenging match which was one by the Team headed by Dale Salisbury.
In August over 100 visitors enjoyed roaming Ian Huke’s beautiful garden, where tea and cakes were in abundance along with an attractive raffle and brisk sales of home grown plants.
Our Member, Bob Hamblyn opened his boutique Vineyard in Compton Place in July to members of the public.
Despite a drizzly wet day all the children at Bede’s Prep School set off on their last day of term for the whole school sponsored charity walk across the South Downs.
